I thought I might be wrong because I couldn't work out the angle, but it's almost freaky how shots of mountains can look so similar. Or maybe it's just my very bad memory

Not Drys Bluff, but it is 3/4 of the way up a different peak, in a popular area not too far away.

It looks quite similar to Mt Blackwood which we climbed a couple of weeks ago.

Not Mt Blackwood. I think this one is probably most often climbed during an extended walk.

Not too far away from Drys bluff?

By extended, do you mean overnight, or are you talking about multi-day?

When I first saw this I thought it was almost up Barn Bluff.
I went away to check my photos but I could not match the particular skyline.
Still - I may not have caught all the angles - and it really has a Barn Bluff feel to it.

The photo doesn't give many clues but Eggs you're correct, it probably has that feel because it
is Barn Bluff

. Taken on the first day of a trip on the Overland Track 2007/08. Because the sky was clear and there was plenty of daylight we decided to attempt it. I didn't get much higher than that point due to a dodgy knee and short legs

. But the view was spectacular. Well done, your turn.
