Mt Field road closure

Postby Binder » Fri 20 Aug, 2010 1:22 pm

G'day all

Just advising the Lake Dobson Rd at Mt Field is closed to all traffic at the visitor centre boom gate, due to snow (has been snowing at the visitor centre). DIER are hoping to get the plow up there this afternoon and again in the morning. Reports of 50cm on the jeep trail and still falling.
If you are looking at coming up give our snow line a ring first to check on road conditions 6288 1319.

Cheers

Well, that cuts down the options for Saturday... thanks for the notice!

DIER currently have the plow and a dozer positioned up the mountain, so may be opened up again by mid morning saturday. Give the snow line a call.

Cheers

Makes me wonder what Jacob's Ladder would be like right now . . .
