TIP: The online Bushwalk Inventory System can help bushwalkers with a variety of bushwalk planning tasks, including: Manage which items they take bushwalking so that they do not forget anything they might need, plan meals for their walks, and automatically compile food/fuel shopping lists (lists of consumables) required to make and cook the meals for each walk. It is particularly useful for planning for groups who share food or other items, but is also useful for individual walkers.

Hi Cam,
Just browsing your post-Christmas sales pages & just my personal opinion but I think if you are to be competitive for online gear sales you need to include gear weights on your website. When I am going to add something to my pack I want to know how much it weighs or I won't be buying it. Most of the O/S sites have this now & would it really be that much work to do it when it may increase your sales (or decrease if it weighs a tonne  ).
Just my thoughts...

I fully agree.
we have this as the first job in January- product weight has become quite the topic nowadays...we won't win any weight weenie battles, but at least you'll be informed.
cheers
Cam

Thats great news Cam. I think most of us know that your gear isn't in the UL category but we some of us still want it for certain conditions or at least would like to consider it- having the weights on your website will make it much easier. I am not an UL'er but have certainly started to consider the weight of everything I put in my pack so obviously when making new purchases it is essential.
Thanks

I second that ! I use weight as one of the factors when making a decision on a new piece of kit. If a weight is not included I generally disregard the seller totally. I know Macpac is good robust gear, but I need to know the weight before it enters the equation. Gram weenies unite ! Regards, CV
