i think i need to apologise and stop teasin you all up there, and also express my REAL point of view here......
firstly sorry guys the north prodding is completely tongue in cheek from me as:

• for me to drive to town takes the same time to drive from one end of the state to the top = too close to split really!
• now i have little kids in tow these easy walks are BETTER SUITED to me and my family anyway
• however much easier the walks may be north or south.... all of us interstaters would rather live n walk regardless of north or south - its all better than the mainland! (sorry mainlanders- but you know its true
