Ok! There are one or two taller peaks in the southern half.

Tall don't equal challenging, WiT.

may be misunderstanding here, but this seems to have ventured out of the posted thread purpose a bit.
St.Valentines, Loongoona, Loyatea, The Dial RA, A bunchofothercruddynorthpeaks
A while back that was trolling or something similar.
Are we degenerating into a Southwest/ Northwest quagmire here?
Doesn't sit too well from this end!

Agree totally.
Reading other posts I've come to expect nothing better...as I'm sure others have too.

i think i need to apologise and stop teasin you all up there, and also express my REAL point of view here......
firstly sorry guys the north prodding is completely tongue in cheek from me as:
- for me to drive to town takes the same time to drive from one end of the state to the top = too close to split really!
- now i have little kids in tow these easy walks are BETTER SUITED to me and my family anyway
- however much easier the walks may be north or south.... all of us interstaters would rather live n walk regardless of north or south - its all better than the mainland! (sorry mainlanders- but you know its true

Did either of you guys who seem to have been offended by this saga think to maybe contact myself (or anyone else who has upset you by contirbuting to this Nth VS Sth thing) directly rather than hassling Nik about it?? Doesnt he have enough to do already??? Besides the North VS South debate has been going on for as long as Launceston and Hobart existed!! Havent you learnt to cope with it YET????
Fight your own fights eh??
I apologise for upsetting those who have been upset by this Ok??

I'm sure one of the bigger reasons for the continuation of the Hobart-Launceston sniping is that so many northerners just can't take it.
Yes, folks, that was meant to be a joke. Try to take it as such. But, if you must needs complain, don't expect an apology because you don't deserve one.

All you NW and SW fans should try the NE for a change. There is this round yellow thing in the sky, some people refer to it as the sun. We also have some nice walks such as the hazards or stsacks bluff or the hazards or stac....

Maybe you just need to hide all the NW/NE posters so you're not tempted...
