has anybody been into Hidden Tarn , mt Field ?

has anybody been into Hidden tarn bewteen belcher and the rodways ? I am planning on heading in on this coming long weekend ?
Do I head in down the scree off the rodways ? whats the going like ? I was thinking of allowing 4 to 5 hrs return.

Have looked at this as part of a circuit walk and decided the best approach would be from near the Mt Mawson Northern summit - it was pretty cliffy from where I was at the true Southern summit.
Report back if you get up/down there.

Yes, a very long time ago so I'm afraid I can't help much but I think we came up from Lake Belcher way and continued up towards the pass through the Rodway Range.

Yes been there, nothing special, mostly rocky, exposed, nice views, not great camping, did as a round trip from Wombat moor - Belton - Rodway etc

thanks Beeper , it has been on my to do list for a long time and i have eventually got around to it . It lots like the views would be great.

Did it yesterday.
Came in from the top. Pretty much scrambled down the scree.made for a slow but lovely days walking . The tarn itself was very disappointing , but views were cloudy and atmospheric. Gotta love Mt Field.
Camping definitely isn't too flash.
but at least now i can tick it off.
