Thanks for locking that lot Tasadam.

Anyone going to play in the snow? Plenty about.

I hope to go and play in the snow tomorrow. The wind could be the problem that keeps me at home as it is forecast to be windier than today, and my roof is rattling as I type!:( I would like to go for a quick half day trip up Sandbanks tier as there should be plenty of white stuff there :)

If it wasn't for a bit of global warming it would be really cold in Hobart.

I was lucky enough to be able to play in the snow last Wednesday, before the wind came.
Started at Carr Villa heading up to Coalmine Crag - a superb walk in surprisingly deep snow.
Yes, a bit chilly, but a wonderful few hours.

Lovely images Chris. I reckon you should enter either of the first two in the photo comp :D.

Wow Chris I was just up around car villa 2 weeks ago for a short snow shoe trip in nice weather, you got some hardcore weather there.

Thank for that John - not sure about the comp though, and I couldn't really enter anonymously now!

It was certainly much thicker than we expected, but mercifully not too windy. Didn't know whether we were on the track or on top of the vegetation much of the time (until we fell through of course). Plenty of legs going down knee deep, with one lucky walker managing to go down much further until he had water in both boots

Never thought of snow shoes (don't possess any), though they would have been useful.
I'm usually quite good at falling but my wonderful Pacer poles saved me from any falls.
I did enjoy a bit of snowboarding without the snow board  Came away from that walk on a real high!
