TIP: The online Bushwalk Inventory System can help bushwalkers with a variety of bushwalk planning tasks, including: Manage which items they take bushwalking so that they do not forget anything they might need, plan meals for their walks, and automatically compile food/fuel shopping lists (lists of consumables) required to make and cook the meals for each walk. It is particularly useful for planning for groups who share food or other items, but is also useful for individual walkers.

I just found Camping R Us (via a link on the Real Tasmania forums - lots more good camping info there too).

Has anyone tried these guys? They're not especially into bushwalking gear, but rather camping in general, but this does include some bushwalking gear, in particular self inflating matresses and a very limited range of Back Country dehydrated deserts.

I haven't quite figured out this one though. It certainly wouldn't be my choice for camping - whether walking or not.

Cool, great for around camp but maybe not waterproof!

For kicking in toeholds on steep climbs perhaps? :? Anyway they'll go well with my Italian black Wrinkle Leather hat and gloves!
