I have the same one Dee, great bag although I haven't used it in Tassie yet. Not waterproof but I thought it does have some sort of limited DWR coating on the outer?
My other bag, that I have used in Tassie a number of times in warmer conditions, sort of (ie including snow - this is Tasmania we're talking about

), is a very basic Roman Extremelite Zero (synthetic). Warm enough, as long as you have decent insulation underneath. I used an insulated mat plus a very thin layer of foam under it. Pros - inexpensive, quality seems quite good, not as susceptible to water as down. Cons - relatively heavy, bulky.
