Nice one ILUV, 2nd again for me :( Surprised the Devil Fungi and Ash in Sky by Stibb didn't get more votes. Would be nice to see them all bigger :P

Thanks SbS. I agree on the devil fungi. I thought it was a fantastic shot.
Congrats ILUV. You keep delivering great shots!

I should probably have mentioned in the title that my picture was taken from Mt Wellington (if you hadn't figured that out anyway). An awesome ending to a great day of walking. At least I had some joy from the Chilean ash cloud :)

I suspect your shot was taken on the same day as mine. On the way out from Black Bluff we drove past Mt Roland which was glowing a purple colour due to the ash the likes of which i've never seen! Unfortunately it was over so fast by the time we came to a clearing to get some photos it was over.
Nothing to see here.
