Getting started
From the train station, this walk exits via the gate at the bottom of the platform 2 steps, then follows the management trail north, keeping the train tracks to the left. Soon, the walk turns right at the 'Engadine Track' signpost, following the 'Audley 6km' arrow along the narrow management trail. Soon, the walk comes to an intersection with another management trail, at another 'Audley 6km' sign. (Note: Straight ahead is a bush track, closed for rehabilitation.)
Turn right: From the intersection, this walk follows the 'Audley 6km' arrow along the management trail. Very soon, the walk comes to an intersection with a bush track on the left, marked with a 'track closed for regeneration' sign.....

	Start. Then cross the bridge (about 15 m long) Then head up the steps (about 15 m long)
	Turn left. McDonald's (about 125 m back from the start).
	After another 205 m turn right.
	After another 80 m veer left.
	After another 9 m continue straight.
	After another 2 m veer left.
	After another 345 m (from the Engadine Trail) continue straight.
	After another 95 m turn right.
	After another 30 m (from the Engadine Track) continue straight, to head along Engadine Track.
	After another 510 m (at the intersection of Engadine Track & Engadine Trail) continue straight, to head along Engadine Track.
	After another 880 m (at the intersection of Engadine Track & Parklands Trail) continue straight, to head along Engadine Track.
	After another 245 m (at the intersection of Parklands Trail & Engadine Track) continue straight, to head along Engadine Track. After another 1.7 km pass the waterfall (35 m on your left).
	After another 10 m (from the Engadine Track) continue straight, to head along Engadine Track. After another 15 m find the "Kangaroo Creek Pools" (15 m on your left). Kangaroo Creek Pools Kangaroo Creek Pools are found on the junction of Engadine Creek and Kangaroo Creek in the Royal National park. This is where Kangaroo creek begins to widen before it joins the Hacking River. The creek is lined with rock and provides a nice place for a splash and cool down. The is some limited shade from the trees in the valley. There are no facilities. After another 6 m pass the waterfall (15 m on your left). After another 25 m head down the 7 metal steps (about 160 m long) After another 610 m pass the "Robertson Knoll" (95 m on your right).
	After another 25 m (at the intersection of Robertsons Roundabout & Engadine Track) continue straight, to head along Robertsons Roundabout.
	After another 335 m (from the Robertsons Roundabout) veer left, to head along Robertsons Roundabout. After another 135 m pass the shelter (50 m on your left). After another 15 m find the "Currawong Flats" (15 m on your left). Currawong Flats Currawong Flats is a large picnic area on the banks of the Hacking River in the Royal National Park. Carrawong Flats is on the western bank for the the Hacking River, Opposite Audley and just south of the junction with Kangaroo Creek. The picnic area can be accessed by car or by foot by a wooden bridge, to Audley. The picnic area has a large flat and open grassy area with some shade from trees. There is a car park, toilets, garbage facilities, fire pit BBQ's, and picnic tables. Swimming and use of boats is not permitted in this section of the river. After another 85 m pass the toilet (30 m on your right).
	From the Engadine Track veer left, to head along Engadine Track. After another 20 m pass the shelter (90 m on your right). After another 15 m cross the bridge (about 55 m long)
	At the intersection of Lady Carrington Drive & Engadine Track turn left, to head along Lady Carrington Drive. After another 95 m pass the car park (5 m on your left). Then find the "Parking Accessible" (10 m on your left). Parking Accessible A smaller car park with 3 mobility parking bay areas (6.1m long, 3.1m wide) Then pass a seat (45 m on your left)., has a backrest. About 180 m past the end is "Allambie Flat". About 200 m past the end is "Allambie Flat". Then pass the water tap (20 m on your left). After another 45 m come to "Commonwealth Pavilion". Commonwealth Pavilion The large sheltered 'Commonwealth Pavilion' picnic area offers 19 picnic tables and 4 single gas bbqs (high 90cm, grill area 43cm wide). From the picnic area there are beautiful views over the Hacking River and the picnic area. This is a great spot to see Cockatoos. There is a cafe, information center, toilets and other facilities nearby. About 15 m past the end is "Picnic Table". Picnic Table 19 timber slat picnic tables and bench seats. The tables are 79cm high, 92cm deep and 2.1m wide. The seats are 45cm high, 30cm deep and 2.1m wide (no backrest). A gate. sunrise-sunset About 35 m past the end is "Seat". Seat 2 long timber slat bench seats on stone walls just beside the path, each 40cm high, 50cm deep, no backrest. About 15 m past the end is "Audley Cafe". Audley Cafe 'Weir Cafe' is located at the 'Audley Dancehall' building. The building is separated into two areas, one is the cafe and the other one is the 'Royal National Park Visitor Centre' with a gift shop. Hot and cold food as well as drinks availble. Lunch meals range from about $15-25. About 20 m past the end is "Weir Cafe". "Audley". Audley Audley in the Royal National Park is where you will find the visitor information center, toilets, kiosk, boat shed (row boat hire), weir, water, BBQ's and plenty of picnic facilities. Take a step back in time and explore some of the preserved building like the old dance hall, enjoy wandering the grounds or grab an ice cream.
	The starting point of an optional sidetrip. An optional side trip to Ironbark Flat Picnic Area. To start this optional side trip veer left here. On returning from this side trip turn sharp right when you get back to this intersection. Details below. The end. Then find the "Toilet Accessible" (20 m on your left). Toilet Accessible Sometimes locked shared male/female accessible toilet, keys at the Royal National Park Visitor Centre (open 8.30am - 4.30pm, 7 days/week) or at the cafe. Entrance is 85cm wide, hand basin 80cm high, toilet seat with handle height 48cm and baby changing area (84cm high). About 15 m past the end is "Royal National Park Visitor Center". About 25 m past the end is "Audley Picnic area". Audley Picnic area Audley Picnic area is a large grassy area with beautiful views across the Hacking River. There are 2 picnic tables with 2 sheltered double gas BBQs. A few benches are scattered around the area. Closer to the 'Audley Dancehall' building there's a signposted toilet block (just up the short staircase). About 25 m past the end is "Toilet Accessible". Toilet Accessible Accessible male/female, male and female toilet block beside the Sir Bertram Stevens Drive. The accessible toilet has entrance 74cm wide, toilet seat 45cm high and hand basin 80cm high, no handrails. Male and female toilets have entrances 90cm wide, hand basins 90cm high, cubical doors 80cm wide, toilet seat 42cm high. Male toilet has a urinal with 20cm step. About 30 m past the end is a toilet. About 100 m past the end is a car park. About 110 m past the end is "Picnic Table". Picnic Table A timber slat picnic table and bench seats. The table is 79cm high, 74cm deep and 2.7m wide. The seats are 47cm high, 44cm deep and 2.7m wide (no backrest). About 120 m past the end is "Seat". Seat A series of 4 timber benches on a stone wall of different heights and lengths (40, 50 and 58 cm high, 50cm deep, all together 9m long, no backrest). About 120 m past the end is "Parking Accessible". Parking Accessible There is a large parking area at the Audley Village car park with 3 marked mobilty parking bays at the eastern end (each 2.5m wide and 5.3m deep).

Parking Accessible There is a large parking area at the Audley Village car park with 3 marked mobilty parking bays at the eastern end (each 2.5m wide and 5.3m deep).
	Continue straight. After another 15 m pass the "Ironbark Flat Picnic Area" (15 m on your left). About 145 m past the end is a shelter. Then find the "Seat" (5 m on your left).   Walking the full length of The Coast track from Otford to Bundeena or Bundeena to Otford is not currently possible due to several track closures along its length. These closures are necessary due to erosion, rockfall risk and ongoing track upgrade works.

  The Garie to Little Garie section of The Coast track is closed due to hazardous rockfalls and erosion
  
  North Era campground is closed until further notice
  
  Garie Road, Garie Beach and the Garie precinct is closed until further notice due to damage and subsidence of the road surface. Walkers approaching from the north (e.g. from Wattamolla or Bundeena) should exit the track via Curra Moors track.
  
  Bushwalker access is available for the following sections of The Coast track:
  
  South bound access - Bundeena to Curra Moors track via Wattamolla and return only. There's no access to Garie Beach.
  
  North bound access - Is via Garawarra Farm Ridge trail and Burgh Ridge track to North Era and return, during track upgrades.
