Getting started
From the end of Evans Rd, Toukley, the walk passes around a gate, passes an information board and 'Wyrrabalong National Park' sign, and follows the bush track. The track winds through the swampy forest for a while, crossing a small wooden bridge, before passing a 'Wetlands' information board, on the right. The track then meanders through the forest for some time, passing a 'Wetlands Trail' sign, to the right. The forest becomes drier and the track becomes wider and sandy as it undulates through the forest to reach the intersection with the 'Red Gum Track'.
From the intersection, the walk follows the right arrow on the 'Red Gum Trail' sign, along the sandy bush track. The track immediately drops through a gully and meanders up the other side. This section of the walk climbs and drops a little as it passes through very nice forest, with twisted tree branches leaning over the trail. The track passes a 'Red Gum Forest' information board, to the left, and continues for while to reach a wooden lookout platform with atmospheric views to the north and north-east.....

	After another 980 m (at the intersection of Red Gum Trail & Wetland Trail) continue straight, to head along Red Gum Trail.
	After another 620 m turn left, to head along Red Gum Trail. After another 540 m pass a seat (7 m on your right). Then find the "Redgum lookout" (5 m on your right). Redgum lookout This unnamed lookout is in the Wyrrabalong National park, north of The Entrance and provides views to the north across part of Tuggerah Lake and Toukley. The lookout is on the Redgum Trail and consists of a fenced wooden platform with a seat. This is a nice, atmospheric spot to take a break on the walk. After another 750 m find the "Tuggerah Lake lookout" (6 m on your right). Tuggerah Lake lookout This unnamed lookout provides views across Tuggerah Lake, north of The Entrance. The lookout is on the Redgum Trail and consists of a fenced wooden platform with a seat. the beautiful views and atmosphere make this a great spot for a break during a walk in the area. After another 8 m pass a seat (10 m on your right).
	After another 325 m (at the intersection of Lilly Pilly Loop Link Trail & Red Gum Trail) turn right, to head along Lilly Pilly Loop Link Trail. After another 1.1 km find the "Tuggerah Lake vista" (15 m on your right). Tuggerah Lake vista This informal, unnamed spot at the edge of Tuggerah Lake, north of The Entrance, has beautiful views across the lake. These views, combined with the nearby area of rainforest, provide beautiful scenery on walks in the area. After another 95 m find the "Lilly Pilly loop rainforest" (30 m on your left). Lilly Pilly loop rainforest This area of littoral rainforest is on the Lilly Pilly loop walk, in Wyrrabalong National Park, north of The Entrance. This small remnant of rainforest is dominated by cabbage palms, corkwoods and tuckeroos. There are nice views across Tuggerah lake from the edge of the forest as well.
	After another 580 m turn right. After another 115 m come to the end.

  Closed areas: Wyrrabalong National Park closure for fox control shooting operation
  Parts of Wyrrabalong National Park will be closed within a date range of 0630 (6:30am) Monday 14th October 2024 to 2300pm Friday 20th December 2024 for fox control shoot operations preventing localised economic impacts and protecting biodiversity assets within the park.
  
  When active the shoot operation area will be delignated by signage advising visitors “do not enter” at any time during the night-time operation.
  
  Penalties apply for non-compliance.

  Other planned events: Construction Works Adjacent to Wyrrabalong National Park
  Construction of the Magenta Shared Walkway on behalf of Central Coast Council is being undertaken adjacent to Wilfred Barret Drive, Magenta. These works are not within Wyrrabalong National Park and no clearing of Park Estate is planned to occur as part of these works. National Parks and Wildlife would encourage park visitors to follow any safety signage installed as part of these works.
