Help with a release date?

My memory fails me here.
Can anybody remember when Patagonia first released the DAS parka?
I'm sure I bought my first one around 1984 or 1985 but I've worn out several over the decades and I think the current one is my fourth and I bought this one second hand

Well according to Patagonia the DAS was introduced in 1994 and had 240GSM DuPont Hollowfill as the insulation. I guess I was mixing the DAS with the old English Point5 Duvet I probably bought at BushGear in Melbourne
