Leaving the car and transport

Postby Gangry » Sun 29 Apr, 2012 12:33 pm

Hi forum.
My wife and I are planning to walk the OT in December this year.
It is part of our honeymoon.
Some great info I have already found but need some advice regarding transport.
We are probably going to stay at Cradle mountain lodge for some days of luxury after the walk, so I would like to have my vehicle at the cradle end so we can continue our honeymoon from there.

So, should I leave the vehicle there? If so, what are the the transport options from lake st Claire back to cradle? Or, should we leave the vehicle at lake st Claire and seek transport to start our trek?

Thanks in advance of any assistance provided.
Thanks,
Andy & Tracy.
Andy.

Leaving the car and transport

As an aside, have a look at a luxury spa cottage at Cradle Mountain Wilderness Village. We've stayed there a few times & love it. Go to the Lodge for dinner though, they don't have a restaurant at the Village.

Since no one else is answering, I'll give it a crack.

If you leave your car at Cradle Mountain and finish at Lake St. Clair, at least you can chill out and get a transfer back up, instead of driving for hours when you are tired and dirty.

Dennis Maxwell still does the transfers and is a real local legend.

I agree with Joel. There are a few companies on the Parks and Wildlife site that can transfer you back to Cradle :D
