TIP: The online Bushwalk Inventory System can help bushwalkers with a variety of bushwalk planning tasks, including: Manage which items they take bushwalking so that they do not forget anything they might need, plan meals for their walks, and automatically compile food/fuel shopping lists (lists of consumables) required to make and cook the meals for each walk. It is particularly useful for planning for groups who share food or other items, but is also useful for individual walkers.

Mont firefly tent

Hi

I was wondering if any forum members have experience with the Mont Firefly tent. I am looking for a suitable tent for camping on the Central Plateau in Tas so must be good in strong wind, absolutely waterproof and up to the odd snow fall. I also like the dual entries as this feature prevents major disputes with my walking buddy (wife). Further, at 2.7 kg, this isn’t too bad for what appears to me to be a fairly bombproof tent. I am replacing a 20 yo Salewa Sierra Leone which has never failed me but will do if I keep using it.

I would appreciate any comments from those who have used/owned this model.

Cheers
