Most tents can be made to set well in the back garden or a tent platform but the further into the wilderness you go the choice of tent sites diminishes and sometimes you have to compromise with one corner of the tent higher than the rest. What tent shape is the most forgiving of uneven ground? Tents like the Aarn Pacer look good when taught but how easy is it to get these complex shapes to set well with less than ideal camp sites? Are simpler tunnel designs better in this regard?
