Hi,
Ive used F.I.R.S.T a few times on long, challenging walks. IMO its fantastic but everyone can make up there own mind.
I have only consumed the Berry and Choc flavours. They are good but I like to add more water than the instructions say, so its not so thick. Very tasty I would say.
Very fast and easy to consume. I prefer to use a small sized plastic shaker (like people use at the gym) to mix it rather than a mug and spoon.
I will be using it on my walk to WA, EA and Fed Peak in Jan for quick and easy energy during the day. Its also great in cold climates when you dont want to stop for long.
I went to Cas and Jonsey talk about the trip to the South Pole and back. They supplemented there diet with F.I.R.S.T. If you read Crossing The Ice by Cas there is no denying that F.I.R.S.T is the real deal. Also check out the background R&D with Roger Chao (Amazing) and others.
I have never used it as a complete diet. I like food too much. I have used it on numerous long distance walks (15 days) as daytime nutrition between breakfast and dinner.
I was concerned about possible stomach issues. Though none have ever occured.
Cheers
