Hi everybody,
Due to over exposure to high UV, my fly on my MSR hubba (older generation with orange fly) has started to delaminate. Is it worth sending it back for repair/replace (if covered), or is there something I can do myself to fix it? Or just buy a new fly?
Is there a way to protect the fly (via a coating or similar) to prevent it happening again?

I think that you will find that this is due to hydrolysis and that living in humid Qld assists this action. Nevertheless, I've been told that more modern compounds do not suffer this fate as readily as, for example, those used on older MSR tents. I would try getting them to cough up for a replacment. Nemo did this for me regarding a Losi 2 tent that I had purchased online from the USA (they actually replaced the whole tent without me having to return the old one).

Thanks for the link SA_hiker, I did try and search but the word "delamination" wasn't used in that thread 
Some useful info in that thread, especially regarding storage.
I'll take it into my store to send it off and see what msr/cascade are willing to do.
