hello, first time poster here
Hi, I am an experienced bushwalker, am 42 years old, have all my equipment and have done scores of overnight walks
am interested in doing some overnight walks in the Tarkine. A few years ago I did an 8 day solo walk west of Lake St Clair, off track and did not see any people except for first day and last 30 minutes of final day. I have an Epirb. I have a car. Not as fit as I used to be (slightly less fit, but now woeful). Would like to think I am no fool as I have done scores and scores of overnight offtrack solo bushwalks. Can use a map and compass very very well.
Was thinking of doing some overnight walking in the Tarkine. Maybe start with some 3 or 4 day walks, off track or on track, either is fine.
I know Tassie a iittle, my 8 day solo off-track walk there was very good, very challenging. Am experienced enough that I would like to think I less likely to make silly mistakes.
Would prefer less travelled areas, (thus think I will leave the western arthurs and overand track to others for a few years).
I have a couple months to kill,,, is it best just to go to Devonport or Lauceston and ask the camping shop?
Any suggestions for some good 3 or 4 day walks in the Tarkine, off track or on track is fine.
