TIP: The online Bushwalk Inventory System can help bushwalkers with a variety of bushwalk planning tasks, including: Manage which items they take bushwalking so that they do not forget anything they might need, plan meals for their walks, and automatically compile food/fuel shopping lists (lists of consumables) required to make and cook the meals for each walk. It is particularly useful for planning for groups who share food or other items, but is also useful for individual walkers.

Clothing list for Falls Creek Base camp

I thought this was easy until I started. Clothing for a week-end or a week is a doddle, change of sox and underpants and away I go. 3 weeks is different as the length of time away will make at least on rinse of the next to skin layer mandatory.
Also a complete change apart from the emergency dry layer may well be worth while packing as well as sleeping gear to keep the bag clean and dry.
For in camp use I may add in a pair of Polartec pants [ modified with extra knee padding ] and a fleece jumper or jacket but as we may be cutting firewood I was wondering whether or not to put in my old army field pants and parka also I still haven't decided between my down parka or my poly insulated belay parka.

I really think I need one extra set of clothes, especially if the stay extends to 4 weeks or more.
Input would be appreciated
As I am dragging the sled I'm guessing I can add 5 or 6 kilograms of extras

A ski jacket and ski pants would be handy if you carry that much extra.

It happens that I do have a ski jacket and pants in bright yellow, although I don't think I will be doing more than one day of lift serviced skiing. Not very warm but WPB ( Entrant #2) and big enough to wear lots of layers underneath

Meh. Clean jocks and an emergency change of socks, and what else do you need?

Pajamas perhaps?

Silk lounge suit??

Seriously tho, it may be safer to add in a change layer of fleece or pile in case I get soaked in a snowball fight

Is tripping over my own snowshoes close enough?
Actually, snowball fights are fun. Might be worth getting up there just to sneak up behind someone before you realise I've arrived and do the snow down the back of the shirt thing . . .

Plenty of time to wash "smalls" but have you ever tried drying something up there in winter?
As I said in my first post I normally don't bother with spare clothes as modern synthetics normally dry quickly enough from body heat except in those rare instances where they get totally saturated.
Perhaps not "Needed" but definitely "Nice" the total change of clothes may wind up being as light as a third set of long-johns or it could be a set of insulated shell for ripping down the slopes.
It's why I asked for suggestions and advice
