Shoes: casual + easy day walks

Looking for new shoes that will be used casually around town but also for easier day walks (eg Mt Wellington, Tas Peninsula). I want waterproof for those rainy days in Hobart (and no my feet will not be too warm). My main contenders so far are

Ahnu Montara (super comfy but are they too slippery?? iirc Bluegum Mic had this issue???)
Teva Dalea (Looks good but the lugs looks really sleek and super slippery on wet pavement??? yeah, I just a head long fall crossing a street in the rain hence this post)
Keen Bryce/Verdi/Gypsum (most Keen look like cane toads but I'll will try some on and see)

Anyone got experience to compare some of these models?
I'm mostly interested to hear about (long term) quality as fit will vary

Stibb have you had a look at the Teva Rivas(the suede version)? I've had them hiking for about 2-3 weeks actual hiking days, they are event so should have some water resistance although I haven't had the opportunity to try that aspect out yet? What I am very impressed with is how well they breathe! To look at them they are suede with a inner liner you would swear they'd be sweaty, I hiked in approximately 25C with mid weight icebreaker socks and no sweat at all, for that aspect of these shoes I'm completely impressed! They are a little roomier at the toe which is another reason I bought them so good comfort around there. The soles are vibram and so far show no signs of wear anywhere on the shoe. I just came back from up north where I spent 6 days in Karajini national park hiking the gorges and other than red dust they perfect. They look good too for casual use, well they did

They look good! Can't find them in women's sizes though and mens' are too big. I'll check them out in the store when I get there, maybe the smallest size will do. thanks.

Teva Kimtah also look good.

I stopped buying teva years ago as I thought their quality declined sharply after their first success. I've had sandals literally falling off my feet (and the same thing with the replacements). I hope they have improved 'cos they look great.

Yeah I was hesitant as well because of the quality issues they have. I also forgot that your a "woman"! Not sure if the styling would suit? Are there hiking shoes that are more female oriented in their styling?

Styling is good. That's what I like. Woman's shoe styling (and obsessiveness) is something I could never get my head around anyway

When trying to get a pair of working gum boots you have the option of fashionable "female styled" pink boots with yellow flowers better suited for anything else but work OR proper working boots 5 sizes too large...
