Looking for travel partner/group for the overland track

Hi. I am a 19 year old man from norway who is looking for a travel partner/group for the overland track in february/march. Have much experience with hiking from norwegian mountains and fjords, but its a first time for me in tasmania, so dont want to do it alone.

It is highly unlikely you'll be doing it "alone" at this time of year.

There will be several other individuals and groups starting most (or all) days around this time. It shouldn't be hard to meet up or walk with or near other groups.

Even if you were doing it "alone" the track is very well marked and there are lots of other people around generally.

Welcome to the forum ,as clarence said you will not be short of fellow walker on the Track especially during the season.
What you will need to organise is how to get to the start and back from the end as there is no public transport as such,charters are available at a cost you may be able to share.

Clarence or anyone else. Would you recomend me to bring a compass and map or a tent? or is the track very good marked? and how is the weather in tasmania in february/march? should i bring a tent or rely on that i get to a cabin each night?

Short answer to your questions. Take a tent as an emergency shelter between huts or if huts are full. You can have the worst imaginable weather at ANY time of the year so be prepared. Definately take a map and compass. Although the OLT is probably the easiest track in the state to follow, if you get off the track you could get disoriented and need to get yourself out of trouble.
