Anyone been up to Mt Field in the last few days?

Postby stoogest » Sat 25 Jul, 2009 6:36 pm

HI all, just wondering if anyone's been up to Mt Field in the last few days? If there's a bit of snow then I might drive up tomorrow.

Cheers!
Andrew.

Nah, but give us a report I'm going up Tuesday, thanks Andrew.

Didn't work out in the end. Anyone else been up perhaps?

Go to http://stsa.webbed.com.au/snowcam.html for a current image of conditions on Mawson. Cheers.

Sorry folks, but I would not trust that webcam, the image has not changed in the 2 weeks I have been watching it :)

A friend went up there about 2 weeks back and said there was very little snow. Given what it has been like for the last 2-3 weeks I think this will still be the case, with most moisture falling as rain.

Yeah, webcam is dodgy and by asking about Mt Field a lot of us are more interested in other aspects of the park than what's happening on the ski-run.
Weather went pear-shaped today so I stayed in my little cave

Thanks anyway Buddy :)

I normally check the webcam on the off chance that it may be working, but it always seems to show the same image.

Even if it was correct though, I was actually more interested in the lower parts of the park, rather than up at Lake Dobson.

I'll definitely get up there some time this winter...!
