Peaks with a Scramble/Climb

Postby Ringo » Thu 08 Jan, 2015 2:33 pm

Hey Folks,

I'm interested in getting a list of Peaks to bag in the South West that are fairly easy to access (a big day trip there and back kind of a time frame), but also a bigger challenge than your standard day walk, maybe some scrambling, easy climbing or rope work required to reach the top. Mount Anne was one I really enjoyed and I'm looking for more of that kind of thing, not sure if there are many more like it...? Federation Peak sounds like it would be similar in some ways but I'd need multiple days to do it. Even alternative/more challenging pathways to the top of peaks would be sweet.

Thanks in advance!

Have you had a look at the peakbaggers guide?

Men wanted for hazardous journey. Low wages, bitter cold, long hours of complete darkness. Safe return doubtful.

Go off track, young man. You can make any peak harder that way. although there will always be more scrub than scrambling.

Geryon, if you take to boat up Lake St CIair. Possibly Weindorfer's Tower (I've not been up it ), certainly Little Horn from the saddle between it and Cradle. Hazards Traverse.
