Wait Graham51, you haven't named the geologic feature yet! There's a name given to the feature seen in the photograph. :P

PS. That'd be the Meteor Crater (Barringer Crater) in AZ, near Winslow.
Just move it!

Oh, sorry. I thought you had said I was right. Never mind.
And yes, mine is Meteor Crater.

Sorry, I wasn't clear earlier, the road was Route 6 and it was b/n Queenstown and Kingston. There's a specific name given to the view in the photo. You are very very close! :)

Well, that looks like the Matterhorn...

And I'm guessing you are in Zermatt, and you arrived by rail from Task. :)

We're back to the UK.

Where am I, and what is the name of the Castle?

Don't worry if this seems obscure, I have plenty of hints!

No, no, no. Eilean Donan Castle is a lovely little castle near Dornie. It's on an island in a loch and it's even more picturesque:

You're in the right area though, Scotland.

Looks similar, but not Duart Castle.

The other similarity is that they are both on an island off the west coast of Scotland.

Bulls eye, well done Micky.

Dunvegan castle is the seat of the clan Macleod of Macleod. They still have a chief, although he works in London, but apparently regulary stays at the castle.

There is a colony of seals near Dunvegan which are very unusual compared to the ones we see in Australia. Cute, even :D
