do you carry knifes on hikes.

Carry one as a pencil sharpener for note taking or sketching & it also
doubles as a peperilli slicer....for my baby bush pizza's.

Being a sucker for folding knives,some of my collection...the one on the scales is for the ultralighters......

Knives are a necessity. I carry a SAK at least. Good fixed blade bushcraft or hunter knives are compact and can do a multitude of tasks.

I enjoy looking at knives at camping stores etc but i sometimes feel guilty because you dont
what the staff member is thinking. (Is this guy a nutter, i wonder why he wants to buy a machete ).

Bought one of these while in the States last month, though I also have a Skeletool CX that's my standard short walk / geocaching knife that recently replaced my Gerber 07550.
