TIP: The online Bushwalk Inventory System can help bushwalkers with a variety of bushwalk planning tasks, including: Manage which items they take bushwalking so that they do not forget anything they might need, plan meals for their walks, and automatically compile food/fuel shopping lists (lists of consumables) required to make and cook the meals for each walk. It is particularly useful for planning for groups who share food or other items, but is also useful for individual walkers.

Exped Synmat Hyperlite

Postby J M » Tue 13 Oct, 2015 11:19 pm

Hi all.
Has anyone had any experience with exped's hyperlite mats? They look like they'd be pretty good but I'd love to hear some first hand opinions on them (and any other alternative options if you're feeling generous!)

I'm essentially just after a nice lightweight, comfortable and compact 3 season mat and the hyperlite seems to fit the bill.

Thanks!

Thanks for the link Moondog, definitely worth the read. One of the problems I had with my downmat was all of the down clumping at each end, which left me with a cold spot in the middle of my mat, so it's good to know that the insulation in the synmat is unable to move.
