Food shops along east coast

Postby Charlieupton » Sat 19 Dec, 2015 3:43 pm

Hi im an 18 year old, Thinking of doing some walking and wild camping along the east coast over the period of a week. Most likely time will be from the start of February.

Are there many places where one can top up on food, or are there many shops en route.

Also do you have any recommendations of sections of coasts or mountains and any tips of how to go about it doing it.

Thanks

St Helens, Bicheno, Swansea and Triabunna/Orford all have decent sized supermarkets and hardware stores that will stock pretty much everything you'd require in terms of food and consumables. No lack of cafes/takeaways either. Just be aware that most invariably close earlier in the evenings that what you'd be used to in Victoria, and likely not at all much past 12pm Saturday over the weekend too.
