Conflicting requirements with tents
Low hydrostatic head means you need steeper walls, resistance to wind needs shallow slopes and a low profile and therefore I would assume a greater degree of waterproofing for the same performance
Like sleeping bags no one tent does everything "best" but I'd choose my own tent on worst case scenario as in good weather I tend to use the old tarp [ and a bivvy sack] but I use the bivvy in winter too

I know north QLD stores who hire out wilderness equipment I-explorers to families/backpackers. I have not used them myself but they must be fairly successful in extreme wet if they are used for hire in this area. Probably not what you would call very lightweight though.
