Thank you Ribuck. Correct and much better than I could've described it. The white cliffs of Dover with Dover in the distance.

I arrived at Folkestone because of a strike, where a young policeman named Terry gave me a lift down the coast and bought me my first English beer, Shepherds Neame. Then on to the South Downs Way and Frog Firle YH : )

Your turn Ribuck. ( or anyone...)

Aloha John. Did you find a pot of gold at the base of these falls?

Aloha MickyB, sadly no (and you stole my next clue ). Mahalo for your answer, yes it's Rainbow Falls at Hilo on Maui.

Mahalo nui loa John. They look awesome :D .

I think eggs is right. They are on Island of Hawai, not Maui.

Anyone can post next.

Sorry eggs, MickyB. Yes you are both quite correct; they are on Hawaii, as is the town of Hilo where I saw them, and which I also misplaced on Maui. Typing before engaging brain . Anyone please go next.

Yikes not giving much away here!

One of the only places I have been in Europe is Switzerland and just from the photo it could be many places (from what I've seen)!

Fairly wild guess here but is it somewhere above Klausenpass?

YES! That's it.

One of my favourite places and despite the popularity of the Lauterbrunnen valley, almost no-one visits this awesome rock bowl - I felt like I was approaching Mordor. Visited it twice on a short trip, that's how much i liked it. Way better than the valley's other main terminus in that area - the one that leads up to Oberhornsee. Anyone who ever stays in Murren or Gimmelwald should make the effort down to Chilchbalm - only an hour or two walk from Gimmelwald.

Take it away JohnW

Thanks Suz, it does look like a great spot. Took ages to research it and I found similar comments on someone's trip report.

Yes that's it eggs. Taken from the Mist Trail on my way back from Vernal Fall, with quite a bit of zoom in the shot.
I think conditions dictate that these falls are not often visited from below.

I noted from the map view that the trail went over the top of the falls - but no track below.

Back to New Zealand for the next one.
