Deep in the throes of planning a trip to SA in March - a lot of sea kayaking but also some walking in the Flinders Ranges (mostly).
Does anyone know if it still necessary to fill in a trip intention form? I can't find anything mentioning that on any of the SA National Park websites.
Thanks,
Sandy

If you think you might need to have a personal locater beacon, then you would always log your intentions with the Australian Maritime Safety Authority. That being the organisation that will be involved in coordinating searches and emergency rescues, whether maritime or terrestrial.

Did it yesterday (registered my trip with AMSA) for an upcoming trip - takes about 2 minutes.
