Spot on. Nice camping around that area too.

Tue 02 May, 2023 11:21 am
Twood be a track to a temple..
Tue 02 May, 2023 12:23 pm
Indeed, from Halls Buttress, one assumes.
I wish had I had the part of your brain that does that, eggs.
Tue 02 May, 2023 12:47 pm
Using the old names I see.
I believe it is Solomons Throne now.
We climbed the "West Wall" way back in 1986
Tue 02 May, 2023 2:15 pm
Listmap still recognises Halls Buttress as a search term so NNW has it.
Tue 02 May, 2023 4:26 pm
Depends on the name. I'm seeing a lot of dual naming come up on ListMap now, and I'll be adopting a lot of those, but sometimes I like the old (like, start of my bushwalking career era old) names.
Where would you need to be to get this view?

I’ve never been there but is that Lake Fergus?
Tue 02 May, 2023 7:31 pm
It is, so where am I?
Tue 02 May, 2023 8:08 pm
I guess you were on Skittleball Hill. Interesting name. Why was it called that?
Wed 03 May, 2023 6:48 am
Skittleball it was, and a lovely thing it is, but no idea on the name.

I wouldn’t mind going there to do some fishing. Back in the 1990’s a friend said the road was just a muddy bog but that road looks all right. Is it?
Where was I last week?

The road is great (it's fairly new, or at least newly improved) but you're not supposed to walk it and I've no idea how you get permission to drive in there and a key for the gate. But there is a walking track from Little Pine, although it's a bit soggy around the lagoon a lot of the time.

Hopefully heading into/coming from better weather than we had - looking into Anne River gorge from the Lake Judd track
Wed 03 May, 2023 11:43 am
Yes, heading out after three perfect days.
Wed 03 May, 2023 12:15 pm
Lucky you.
Next one - name these hard to see falls.

- Whitham Falls viewed very briefly from the Anthony Road

The irony is that they are not far from the road I was on.
Thu 04 May, 2023 12:46 pm
Are they Whitham falls?
Thu 04 May, 2023 3:21 pm
Yes Last - worked in the area for 2 months as a student and never saw them, despite later walking along the 4WD road at the base of the range.
Caught this brief view on a small rise on the newer Anthony Road and had to go back and record it.

I think I caught the same glimpse last time I was there. Next

No, but you're not far off
Fri 05 May, 2023 11:16 pm
Near Lake Myra?
Sat 06 May, 2023 12:36 am
Yes eggs, somewhere about there. We camped. The mosquitos were intense.
Sat 06 May, 2023 5:19 pm
I would not have expected that.
What mountain is shrouded in cloud?
Sun 07 May, 2023 2:14 pm
Anne with a heap of Zoom?!
Sun 07 May, 2023 2:55 pm
No real zoom in this and the foreground provides a large clue.
Sun 07 May, 2023 5:57 pm
I know that's a road, but I still don't recognise the rocks at the back.
