All his videos are fantastic, absolute legend of a bloke and his new book just arrived too.

I still don't understand why his videos are so enjoyable to watch, they're so simple, but I watch them all.

Yes, the cycleway/path starts near (ironically) the Canterbury Velodrome near Tempe station at the eastern end. Should get the bike out and have a look. I've wondered about walking it but only done the Wolli Creek Valley branch so far. There is a reasonable
"Two Valley Trail" map that I've used before, only goes to around Campsie along Cooks R. But you'd probably be walking "in" the drain beyond that anyway.
These are not bushwalks, although Wolli Creek makes a reasonable imitation of one in places.

... But I think recently I've found even better with this guy :
https://www.youtube.com/c/HarmenHoek , a Dutch hiker with STUNNING videos. Compared to Craig, he has a better eye for composition, he must be a photographer or something, and he goes offtrack all the time, often to places that are a bit risky. His South Africa video, or Pyrénées video are just beautiful.

His video "Solo Hiking in the Pyrenees" is superbly shot and makes me want to go back to Europe to hike it.
It goes from the Spanish side to the French side of the Pyrenees. Very worthwhile watching. No commentary, just beautiful scenery! Enjoy it.

Thanks Halu and Dutchie for this recommendation.
These films are superbly shot. So cinematic. I love how much effort he goes to shoot himself as a small speck in a grand landscape, crossing rivers, scrambling down rocky tracks and that he also keeps setting up these shots even when the weather turns nasty. So many of the shots are brilliantly composed. You get a great sense of place and adventure. And he manages to convey a sense of joy even though it is largely without speech.
He often has great shots of himself as a silhouette walking or standing in the landscape. Artistically inspiring stuff

Nice work! So much effort, I'm exhausted thinking about it.

Cheers guys. Lots of work to make something like that. Hiking Comedy, a difficult niche to pioneer!

You're welcome. He indeed has a great eye. And in the comments, he tells more behind the scenes stories and you understand how hard his hikes are... Some days he does 2000 m elevation gain, it's crazy. In South Africa he was sick to his stomach most of the trip. He goes a bit too far I think sometimes for his safety, he's young but he should take care of himself, coz he's often on razorback ledges during rainstorms, ouch. I suggested him to do a hike in my favorite part of the French Alps, the Queyras mountains, and also suggested him the Ecrins national park. Both superb destinations, without the crowds of the Mont Blanc/Chamonix area, he seemed to really like it and said he may do a trip there this Summer, can't wait to see that video...

A like IB Tat's channel, goes against the sunshine and roses typical style, good music , great camera skillset. His CDT vids went up a notch. Understand his cussing is not for everyone, pretty sure he puts a lot of that on on purpose. Heard him interviewed a few times and he's well spoken.
A young bloke I met on the AZT this year has a good daily vlog style channel - Waldo and the bare necessities. I think he had done one of his first uploads the day I met him, now 6 months on he's got a good following from his AZT and CDT walks this year. Was talking to him the other day , think he's doing the PCT next year so plenty more vids to come

Bump also. Kraig Adams must be well known then. Mentioned in a 2022 post.

Matt Brain's latest video of their "Snakes and Ladders" packrafting trip is now on his YouTube channel -
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-BxxiaOLbxw"A 3 week remote wilderness trek and paddle across Tasmania's most rugged wilderness zone starting from Port Davey and heading north to Strahan paddling the DeWitt River, Giblin River, Lewis River, The Wanderer and The Spero River while also traversing the rugged coast north from Low Rocky Point. This was a hard but rewarding journey in the off season for higher water levels.
Enjoy the variety of landscapes, history and scenes from a rarely visited corner of the planet."

For anyone interested in solo walking. Spurring off Sweden's Kungsleden; well made (46mins). A tiny bit like a Tassie Central Plateau walk, winding up at the Lake St Clair ferry. Good music w. end credits. But at 8'50" - " From this day onwards.... with no means of contacting the outside world" - Surely he's carrying a PLB ?

I appreciate the plug

however this video's only going to be up for another day or two before I make it unlisted, given the walk was 90% off track and went through a lot of delicate areas.

Sorry about that Lucas. Cracker of a video, like the one above it. And like the "Higgs Track to Zion Gate" video from late Feb., also off-track. And a lot of the Where am I photos. What the Forum needs is some sort of Bob Brown tick of approval. Dang. I actually thought of it myself and wondered if it would pass under the radar.
