Spectra/Dyneema sewing thread?

Postby Moondog55 » Mon 24 Feb, 2025 10:05 am

I'm having a bit of trouble finding any in Australia
Anybody know of any stockists in Australia that will do domestic size sales?
I need to a new haul harness and the biggest thread Ceciles machine is happy with is M-40.
Otherwise I guess I have to get some from Extreme Textile in Germany

That's good twine but it doesn't work on a sewing machine. Limited to M-40 thread.
May have to spend $100- and get a reel from England, although I really don't need 3000m of it, getting a full cone from the UK is cheaper than getting 200m for Extreme Textile

Not sure of the thread size....thinking outside the box.

A great idea for hand sewing.
Been thinking about getting a S/H bartack machine for doing particular stress points. I wonder if braided might work as our other machines are set for bonded mono

I had some money in my PayPal account so I just bought that cone of Dyneema thread via eBay.
When it arrives in a few weeks I could be persuaded to run off a few small spools of thread for members
