Very. I've been through some of the country he was proposing to run (also know someone with bi-polar)

I did manage to find some info regarding his trip thanks to the wonder of Google though.
Nothing to see here.

what site did u find the info on?
I have googled everything I can think of but haven't found anything on any sites I didn't already know about.
I do have the newspaper article though :-D

Typical, as it happened here in Tassie, local mdeia probably didnt think it was worth mentioning!! I have sent you what I found via PM

Although the Mercury are masters of the cut and paste, it's a wonder there wasnt anything.....

good to hear he is ok.

Heard via google that the attempt ran into problems after a fall on the Friday. The Spot wasn't moving because... it wasn't moving!

Bad luck Gary, hope things mend well and look forward to hearing about your next shot at it. :)

Heard via google that the attempt ran into problems after a fall on the Friday.


I have been asked to inform everyone that after a nasty fall on the overland track, which resulted in a badly sprained knee and ankle, Gary had a rest day hoping that the knee and ankle would settle. After 7kms, he was in agony and decided to pull out of the run.
He would like to thank everyone for their support and encouragement. Gary will give a full report on the run when he returns home :-)
