I was up there late May, and it's all back as good as ever. Although I don't think the two flashers on the roof are standard . . .

Ok. We are thinking of heading into the "running creek" camping ground (Howque River) on Tuesday. We'll spend a day or two, do some 4WD'g in the area and do some day walks. Can you tell me more about the Bluff 4WD track?north-north-west wrote:You can also go into the Howqua Hills country, south of the Mt Buller Road, some good camping both by the river and up near The Bluff, or beside the Bluff 4WD track. All sub-alpine, snowgrass meadows and snowgums and good walking, including a few sections of the AAWT.
This is where better maps and a bit more planning would have been helpful. I turned left at the end of Dargo High Plains. I could have turned right and gone around Hotham and come in the other end of the Bogong High Plains Road. Oh well, there is always next time.north-north-west wrote:Easier to get away from the mobs at Hotham, surprisingly enough, as long as you don't do Feathertop.
Sure did! Thanks for all your help mate. And thanks everyone for all the input and advice.north-north-west wrote:Glad you enjoyed it.
