I just stumbled upon these and thought I would share here, seems like it might interest some people...

Bush Navigation
* Thu 7 Apr – Sat 16 Apr 2011
* 7PM – 10PM (first session)
* 4 sessions, 24.5 hours total
Held in Launceston

Field Trip - Cradle Mountain
* Sunday 1 May 2011
* 8:30AM – 2:30PM
Meet at Deloraine.

they also do remote first aid courses through tafe too

Does anyone know of any bush navigation courses in Sydney. I know they run one up in the blue mountains but I'd love to do one closer to home.

give your local SES (State Emergency Service) a call - they'll teach you for free if you volunteer!
