hi i am relativley new to hiking and was wondering if anyone new any thing about the Douglas River - Heritage falls. hike i am planning on hiking in and staying the night at heritage falls, then walking out the next day. if anyone has compleated this walk would u be able to tell me any info or anything about where i leavemy car??? cheeres

I can't give you any first hand info but have a look at this post
viewtopic.php?f=3&t=2347Also look at NPWS sites as there may be something there. I have noticed that the Heritage Falls camping ground is reasonable but has no water, no toilets and fuel stoves only.

Note also the road in from the north has been closed. See the Parks web site. Mention is also made of track erosion.

I did Leeaberra track last August. The campsite was fine and plenty of water. However there were a lot of floods last winter and the track to Heritage Falls was completely gone with fallen trees and scrub. You can have a fire in winter.
