Not too sure about any clubs/groups up that way, but Freycinet National Park is a magic place close by to go and explore and take photos (you will need a National Parks Pass to go into the park though), particularly the Friendly Beaches, but Coles Bay at sunset looking towards the Hazards is nice (many different locations to shoot from), Wineglass Bay and Sleepy Bay are also cool places to go for a wander with the camera.

There aren't really any clubs over there, but a couple of forum members come from over that way so may let you know about informal groups. Good places to go - freycinet peninsula, schouten island (need to find someone to take you), mathina areaa (evercreech and mount victoria), douglas apsley NP (some cool photo opportunities), bay of fires. Those are all within a hours drive of bicheno. Happy exploring!

Hi keep on rollin, Welcome to a piece of Paradise! :D

If you are interested in walking with a club, the Launceston Walking Club has several members on the East Coast who meet up wth us for walks in the East Coast area. There are some walks scheduled for the East Coast in the current program, and you would be able to attend as a visitor if you wanted to see how you liked the company. Their website has a lot of info here - http://www.launcestonwalkingclub.org.au/

The walks coming up in your area are -
* Saturday June 11th, a day walk up Saint Patricks Head, near St Mary's.
* Saturday to Monday June 11-13th, Maria Island Walks/Bikes, but numbers need to finalised by Friday this week for ferry booking.
• Saturday/Sunday July 2-3, Douglas Apsley NP through walk and day walks.

If you are interested in any of these, contact me through the forums Personal Message system and I will give you more details. (Click on the tiny "PM" button below my ID photo.)

Hey All!
Sorry for the hijack, but i stumbled upon this forum by accident searching for something completely irrelevant (portraiture photog)
And i'm From Bicheno as well! There are various photographers around the vicinity, but no photography group or anything, maybe we should get something together, and try to organize one?

@tas-man, is anyone able to join in on these walks you speak of?
As that would be a great thing to do!

Thanks, again sorry for the hijack
