Nice effort Gail, when did you do this trip? I went through March 4-8, pics here viewtopic.php?f=9&t=6125&hilit=western+arthurs

Your pic that you think is from High Moor looks more like Mt Taurus looking back over The Beggaries. Unforgettable stuff hey?

What happened to the German guy?

Aaaaaarrrrggghhh!!! Pleasse, no more! I can't get the place out of my mind as it is.

I just want to go back. Permanently. Do you think TasPAWS would mind if I built a teensy weensy little hut at High Moor . . . ?

I think you are right about the photo.. close enough hehe, the German guy ended up running out of his cornflakes, milk and lollies at Lake Cygnus so missed out on Oberon which is a shame...

Your photos are beautiful, much better weather than us - cold but sunny and clear. We were there in Dec/Jan over new years :-)

LOl imgaine carrying your groceries home each week across the Beggery Bumps!

Yes I think a little hut would be nice because High Moor is so exposed and you could maybe tuck it away down the hill a bit so it's out of site!! With a stove/fire wood all stocked up and hot showers of course :-)
