Well Saturday morning at 5am I hit the road to Wynyard to pick up yakka ,Bulldog and Jake then headed of to the top end of lake Rowallan were we started our walk.
We arrived there around about 7.30 put our packs on and headed down to our first stop Pine Hut via the suspension bridge.
A great walk to there. Then it was onto oxley falls were we stopped and took a few photos and had a bit to eat.

We then headed on to lees Paddocks, we arrived there around 12:30 and had about half hour rest before moving on to the last leg of our journey witch would see us arrive at Waddlys Hut.
Were we will stay the night quite a nifty little hut quiet cosy and warm. Im sure the trout fishing up that way would be great.

Next morning it was raining hard and did so most of the night, so after a cooked breakfast (weetbix) and a cuppa coffee it was time to put on the wet weather gear and don the Backpack and trek back to Lewis lees hut were we would be spending the night before heading home the next morning.
Walking back to lees we come across a cave or should I say a feeding ground for some animal as there were animal bones everywhere.

Soon we left the cave and headed on towards lees hut yakka and I spotted a waterfall that we didn’t see on the way in mostly due to over night rain,so while Bulldog and jake went on to lees hut Yakkadave and I went to check out the waterfall .we took some photos then headed up to the hut.

I must say it was great to be able to sit around a fire and have a warm and dry some clothes off ready for the trip out and back to the car in the morning.
After a warm nights sleep and a ton of rain it was up and get ready for off. after replenishing the wood we used and a sweep and clean upit was time to leave. well Bulldog and Jake took off leaving us behind you would have thought they were in a race first one back gets a million Dollars.
Yakka and I just took our time we were just leaving Pine Hut when I felt something strange in my mouth yes I had a leech attached to the roof of my mouth, so yakka was onto it he had his fingers in my mouth trying to get it out I must say its not a good feeling after 3 minutes or longer yakka wasn’t making any leeway so I just ripped it out with my finger nail tearing the roof of my mouth but getting the blood sucker out
But apart from that all in all another great trip.
Cheers Simmo
P.S if you would like to see some photos i can add some in
