Grail Falls

Postby norts » Fri 22 Jul, 2011 12:03 pm

Last weekend I planned on going up to Cathedral, I only got to Chalice Lake, I am not as fit as I should be. I started on the Moses Creek track on Friday at 1130. and got to the top of Grail Falls at 430. I camped on the rock slabs at the top of the Falls. I would estimate there was at least a 1/2 metre of snow up there. It had taken an hour to get from the bottom of the falls to to the top. I was done in.
Next day after long night I walked up to Chalice Lake. I realisedthat there was no way I would be getting to the top of Cathedral in the time I had alotted. So I turned around and walked back out.
Enjoyed the walk but I need to get fit.
Not happy with most of my photos, but here is a couple.

Beautiful. Grail has to be one of Tassie's best falls.
