Arm River Track and thru to Lake St Claire advice

Postby philm » Mon 01 Aug, 2011 5:00 pm

We walked the Overland Track in April and I'm just planning my next trip. We are thinking of going to Pelion Hut via the Arm River track then spend 2-3 nights at Pelion doing Mt Ossa and Mt Oakleigh. We then plan to head south on the Overland Track to Lake St Claire and possibly Pine Valley.

If we do this trip in April do we need overland trakc passes - I called the National Parks people and they seemed unclear?

You don't need an Overland Track pass if you enter in via Arm River, but you will still need a National Parks pass. Overland Track passes are only required if you start from Ronny Creek.

Cheers,

Jared.
