	Start. After 40 m pass the car park (on your right). After another 50 m pass the sign.
	After another 170 m continue straight.
	After another 235 m continue straight.
	The starting point of an optional sidetrip. Side trip to Tomaree Head Summit with several lookouts. To start this optional side trip veer right here. On returning from this side trip turn right when you get back to this intersection. Details below. After another 20 m veer left. After another 305 m continue straight.
	After another 40 m turn right. After another 210 m continue straight. After another 25 m continue straight. After another 10 m pass the sign (15 m on your right).
	Continue another 55 m to find the end. Then turn around here and retrace the main route for 1.2 km to get back to the start.

	After another 35 m veer left. After another 20 m pass the "Mount Tomaree" (7 m on your right). W:www.nationalparks.nsw.gov.au Then come to the "Tomaree Lookout" (15 m on your left).
	After another 30 m turn left. After another 25 m come to a viewpoint.
	The end. A viewpoint. Turn around and retrace your steps back the 520 m to the main route.

  Safety alerts: Unpatrolled Beach
  Dangerous swell conditions are forecast for the area over the Anzac Day long weekend.
  NPWS recommends swimming at patrolled beaches between the red and yellow flags at the following locations:
  
  Birubi Point
  
  One Mile Beach
  
  Fingal Beach
  
  Please do not swim or enter the water along the unpatrolled beaches on Tomaree National Park and Worimi Conservation Lands. These beaches include:
  
  Zenith Beach,
  
  Wreck Beach,
  
  Box Beach,
  
  Samurai Beach and,
  
  Stockton Beach
  
  Tragically, people have drowned while swimming at several locations at these beaches.
  Many of the beaches are remote, unpatrolled and have dangerous rip, currents, unexpected large waves and sudden drop offs. Ocean conditions can change rapidly.
  Mobile phone service may also be limited. You may not be able to call for help if you need it.
  We want everyone to enjoy their visit and to return home safely.
  
  Other incidents: Tomaree Head - Wet Weather Safety Alert
  Tomaree Head Summit Walk lower section can be very slippery in wet weather. Visitors have fallen over on their way down the mountain. Please take extra care on the lower section especially during or after wet weather.
  
  Closed areas: Lighthouse Keepers' Cottages Ruins site closed
  The Lighthouse Keepers' Cottages Ruins site is closed to pedestrian access for public safety reasons. Please do not enter the site under any circumstances.
  Penalties apply for non-compliance. For more information, please contact the local office.
  
  Closed areas: Box Beach carpark night closure
  Box Beach carpark is closed to vehicles from 10pm to 5am daily. The gate will be locked during these times.
  The Box Beach access road is also closed to vehicles during this period.
  A fee will be charged for vehicles exiting after 10pm. Please call Certis Security on 1300 370 145 for assistance. For more information, please contact the local Nelson Bay area office on 02 4984 8200.
