Getting started
From the intersection, this walk follows the Casuarina Stairway up the long wooden staircase, climbing the long hill to the top where it comes to the lookout (and a bush track continuing along the side of the hill).
From the lookout, this walk follows the bush track, meandering along the side of the hill for a little while before it climbs up a short but steep rocky hill. The walk flattens out again and continues along the side of the hill for a while before crossing a small stream at some boulders. After the stream crossing, this walk climbs up a small hill and across a few rock platforms as it starts to undulate along the side of the hill. It then passes under some power lines, and climbs steeply up the hill to the large power line tower, which it passes around (keeping the tower to the right), to the intersection of the Boree Road service trail at the Casuarina Track sign.....

	After another 125 m turn right, to head along Lyrebird Track.
	After another 530 m (at the intersection of Carroll Creek Track & Lyrebird Track) continue straight, to head along Carroll Creek Track.
	After another 730 m (at the intersection of Causarina Track & Carroll Creek Track) turn right, to head along Causarina Track (a steps). Then head up the steps (about 10 m long)
	At the intersection of Casuarina Track & Causarina Track turn left (a walking track). After another 10 m pass the sign.
	After another 420 m turn left, to head along Ferguson Street. After another 15 m pass the sign. After another 105 m pass the sign (35 m on your right).
	After another 4 m come to the end.

Davidson picnic area
Davidson Picnic Area is in Garigal National Park, under Roseville Bridge (access via Warringah Road, south bound lanes, or via many walking tracks in the area). The picnic area has a boat ramp, wheelchair-accessible toilets, large open grassy areas, picnic tables, free electric BBQ's, and a large rotunda. There are plenty of shady spots provided by the trees. The northern section of the picnic area has a small beach swimming area, and the southern section boasts a boat ramp. The park is open 6am to 8pm (6:30pm outside daylight savings time). Ticket machines are provided to pay the car access fee.

  Other planned events: ‘1080 pest management’
  NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service will be conducting a baiting program using manufactured baits, fresh baits and Canid Pest Ejectors (CPEs) containing 1080 poison (sodium fluroacetate) for the control of foxes. The program is continuous and ongoing between 1 August 2024 and 31 January 2025 in Garigal National Park. Don’t touch baits or ejector devices. Penalties apply for non-compliance.
  
  All baiting locations are identifiable by signs.
  Domestic pets are not permitted in NSW national parks and reserves. Pets and working dogs may be affected (1080 is lethal to cats and dogs). Pets and working dogs must be restrained or muzzled in the vicinity and must not enter the baiting location. In the event of accidental poisoning seek immediate veterinary assistance.
  Fox baiting in these reserves is aimed at reducing their impact on threatened species.

  Closed areas: Flat Rock track partial closure
  The section of Flat Rock track from the Killarney Drive entrance to the Downpatrick Street entrance, is permanently closed as the old track passes through private property near Killarney Point.
  Please note:
  
  Walkers heading west should exit Flat Rock track at the eastern end of Killarney Drive and use Killarney Drive until you reach Downpatrick Street. Then walk down the street and re-enter Flat Rock track from the Downpatrick Street fire trail.
  
  Walkers heading east should exit Flat Rock track at the Downpatrick Street fire trail and use Downpatrick Street, then Killarney Drive until you reach the end of Killarney Drive. Re-enter Flat Rock track from the Killarney Drive entrance.
