Whites Hill Southwestern Circuit

Starting from Touch field car park (Outdoor Gym), Camp Hill, this circuit walk gives you a tour of the southwestern part of Whites Hill Reserve, crossing a stream (via a bridge) along the way. Whites Hill Southwestern Circuit offers a peaceful stroll through tall eucalypt trees while listening to the birds singing. In this reserve, you may spot stone curlews, kookaburras, powerful owls, marbled velvet geckos, and koalas. The tracks are mostly well-maintained and wide, and there are many options to customize the journey. Dogs are allowed on leash, and an off-leash area is available via a side trip. Additionally, there is an accessible playground for families with young children. Although there is ample shade, it's recommended to apply sunscreen and bring enough water for the walk. Let us begin by acknowledging the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we travel today, and pay our respects to their Elders past and present.

Getting started
From the car park off Boundary Road (340 metres east of Holland Park Junior Cricket Club), head towards the metal gate with an "E099" sign on it. Head around/over the gate and head along the singular walking track gently downhill. 90 metres in, keep right at the 3-way intersection. About 20 metres later, veer/turn right at another 3-way intersection to continue along Whites Hill Southwestern Circuit (clockwise).....

	From the Bloodwood Track veer right, to head along Bloodwood Track.
	After another 100 m (from the Bloodwood Track) continue straight, to head along Bloodwood Track. After another 235 m pass the "146". 146 continue straight, to head along Bloodwood Track. After another 15 m pass a seat (on your left)., has a backrest.
	After another 15 m (at the intersection of Sheoak Track & Bloodwood Track) turn right, to head along Sheoak Track. After another 85 m (from the Sheoak Track) continue straight, to head along Sheoak Track.
	After another 195 m (from the Sheoak Track) veer left, to head along Sheoak Track. After another 150 m pass the "159".
	159 continue straight, to head along Sheoak Track. After another 180 m (from the Sheoak Track) continue straight, to head along Sheoak Track. After another 110 m pass the "158".
	158 turn right, to head along Mahogany Track. After another 155 m (from the Mahogany Track) continue straight, to head along Mahogany Track. After another 220 m (from the Mahogany Track) continue straight, to head along Mahogany Track. After another 70 m (from the Mahogany Track) continue straight, to head along Mahogany Track. After another 20 m cross the bridge (about 7 m long) After another 5 m (from the Mahogany Track) continue straight, to head along Mahogany Track.
	The starting point of an alternate access track. An alternate access point from/to Carnelian Street. This access point is much closer to the bus stop. Details below. After another 155 m (at the intersection of Ironbark Track & Mahogany Track) turn right, to head along Ironbark Track.
	After another 440 m (from the Ironbark Track) turn right, to head along Ironbark Track (a highway\|cycleway).
	The starting point of an optional sidetrip. This little side trip takes you to the off-leash area. To start this optional side trip turn left here. On returning from this side trip continue straight when you get back to this intersection. Details below. After another 7 m (from the Ironbark Track) continue straight, to head along Ironbark Track.
	After another 650 m (from the Ironbark Track) turn right (a walking track). After another 8 m continue straight. After another 10 m continue straight. After another 100 m pass the shelter (9 m on your left). After another 55 m pass the water tap (20 m on your right). After another 20 m continue straight. After another 25 m continue straight. After another 8 m continue straight. After another 50 m pass the toilet (25 m on your left). This toilet is wheelchair accessible. This toilet is male, female and equipped with a hand-washing basin. Then pass a seat (8 m on your right)., has a backrest.
	After another 15 m turn left. After another 25 m continue straight. After another 15 m head through/around the gate. After another 10 m pass the BBQ (20 m on your left). After another 10 m pass the shelter (20 m on your left). Then pass the water tap (20 m on your left). After another 25 m pass the "Whites Hill Reserve Playground" (10 m on your left). This playground is wheelchair accessible.
	After another 100 m come to the end.

This little side trip takes you to the off-leash area.

	From the Ironbark Track Start (a highway\|cycleway). After another 95 m come to a seat.
	The end. Turn around and retrace your steps back the 95 m to the main route.

An alternate access point from/to Carnelian Street. This access point is much closer to the bus stop.
