Derdbe-Gerring Banan Circuit

Starting from the car park at the end of Hidden Valley Road, Kununurra, this walk takes you on a circuit in Mirima National Park, visiting The Derdbe-Gerring Banan Lookout along the way. After traversing throughout the ancient sandstone ranges and reaching the lookout, you can enjoy open views of Kununurra and Ord River Valley, whose vegetated valleys are stunningly beautiful. Additionally, the first part of the trail is a wheelchair friendly loop with interpretive signage. You can prefer to walk early morning or late in the afternoon to avoid the very worst of the heat. Let us begin by acknowledging the Miriuwung people, Traditional Custodians of the land on which we travel today, and pay our respects to their Elders past and present.

Getting started
From the car park at the end of Hidden Valley Road, pass through the bollard and head towards the slanted signpost as you go through the sheltered area with red metal poles. Pass by the said signpost (to your right) and head along the narrow dirt track. About 60 metres into the walk, veer left at the 4-way intersection to continue along Derdbe-Gerring Banan Circuit (clockwise).....

	After another 110 m turn left. After another 65 m pass the shelter (20 m on your left).
	Continue straight. After another 115 m continue straight. After another 135 m come to the "Derdbe-Gerring Banan Lookout" (about 20 m ahead). After another 125 m continue straight.

	After another 60 m turn left. After another 60 m pass a seat (on your left).
