Getting started
From the car park, this walk follows the 'Little Beach' sign along the management trail, passing around a gate. The walk heads down the hill, crosses a creek, and climbs up the hill out of the gully. The walk then winds down to a signposted intersection, with a bush track to the right.....

	At the intersection of Old Quarry Trail & Grahame Drive Start heading along Grahame Drive (a service road). Then pass the "Little Beach Car Park" (15 m on your right). After 95 m head through/around the gate.
	After another 210 m (from the Little Beach Trail) continue straight, to head along Little Beach Trail. After another 15 m (from the Little Beach Trail) continue straight, to head along Little Beach Trail.
	After another 40 m (from the Little Beach Trail) continue straight, to head along Little Beach Trail. After another 15 m pass the "Bouddi Coastal Walk" (20 m on your right). After another 295 m pass the toilet (6 m on your left). After another 20 m pass the sign (on your right). Then pass the shelter (on your right). Then pass the BBQ (on your right). Then pass the picnic table (10 m on your right). Then find the "Little Beach Campsite" (8 m on your left). Little Beach Campsite Little Beach campsite is a small grassed area, wedged between the hills and set back from the beach. The campsite has six designated sites, a composting toilet, rubbish bins, Gas BBQ's and a shelter. There is no drinking water onsite and the beach is only 20m away.
	After another 310 m (from the Little Beach Trail) continue straight, to head along Little Beach Trail.
	After another 55 m (from the Little Beach Trail) turn left (a footpath).
	After another 420 m (at the intersection of Bombi Moor Trail & 78 Trail) continue straight, to head along Bombi Moor Trail (a vehicle track). After another 50 m pass the "Bouddi Coastal Walk" (on your left).
	After another 520 m (at the intersection of Bombi Moor Trail & Third Point Trail) turn left, to head along Third Point Trail.
	After another 690 m (from the Third Point Trail) turn around, to head along Third Point Trail. After another 40 m find the "Third Point" (40 m on your right). Third Point Third Point, is an easily accessed unfenced cliff which looks out across the Pacific Ocean and Tasman Sea. The point was the third of three defining headlands which Captain Cook observed in 1770. The headlands defines the northern tip of the Marine Sanctuary which was the first in New South Wales. The views from Third Point are of dramatic cliff lines with waves crashing in from the Pacific Ocean.
	After another 650 m (at the intersection of Bombi Moor Trail & Third Point Trail) veer left, to head along Bombi Moor Trail.
	After another 65 m (at the intersection of Old Quarry Trail & Bombi Moor Trail) continue straight, to head along Bombi Moor Trail. After another 670 m pass the sign (on your left). After another 290 m cross the ford. After another 610 m cross the bridge (about 9 m long) Then head up the stone steps (about 5 m long)
	The starting point of an optional sidetrip. An optional side trip to S.S. Maitland Shipwreck. To start this optional side trip turn left here. On returning from this side trip turn right when you get back to this intersection. Details below. After another 205 m (at the intersection of Mount Bouddi Track & Bouddi Coastal Walk) turn right, to head along Mount Bouddi Track. After another 15 m pass the sign (on your left).
	After another 160 m (from the Mount Bouddi Track) continue straight, to head along Mount Bouddi Track. After another 15 m find the "Bouddi Lookout" (25 m on your right). Bouddi Lookout Bouddi Lookout, Bouddi National Park, is a great first look at the Bouddi Coast as you come out of the bush on Bouddi Spur. There are views of the Pacific Ocean crashing into the heath covered headlands in front of the lookout. Not as grand a view as other lookouts in the area, but worth a pause on your way to the Bouddi Coast Track. After another 1.1 km pass the "Mount Bouddi Picnic Area" (on your right). After another 8 m pass the toilet (6 m on your left).
	After another 580 m (at the intersection of Mount Bouddi Road & Stroms Trail) continue straight, to head along Mount Bouddi Road.
	After another 30 m (at the intersection of The Scenic Road & Bombi Road South) veer right, to head along The Scenic Road (a road).
	After another 295 m (at the intersection of The Scenic Road & MacMasters Ridge Fire Trail) continue straight, to head along The Scenic Road. After another 45 m pass the car park (on your left).
	After another 370 m (at the intersection of Bombi Road North & The Scenic Road) continue straight, to head along The Scenic Road.
	After another 760 m (at the intersection of The Scenic Road & Grahame Drive) turn sharp right, to head along Grahame Drive (a service road).
	After another 325 m (from the Grahame Drive) continue straight, to head along Grahame Drive.
	After another 95 m come to the end.

An optional side trip to S.S. Maitland Shipwreck.

Little Beach
Little Beach, Bouddi National Park, is a small 100m-long stretch of sand and rocks, facing out to the Tasman Sea and South Pacific Ocean. The beach is backed by a gully and sided by steep rocky headlands. The beach has a south easterly aspect and has its own campsite.

S.S. Maitland Shipwreck
The S.S. Maitland was a paddle steamer brought to Australia from Glasgow, Scotland, to transport people and cargo between the Hunter and the Hawkesbury Rivers. There was no rail line from Newcastle to Sydney in the 1800's. The Maitland was on its route out of the Barrenjoey Headlands when it was overwhelmed by the aptly-named 'Maitland Gale'. The storm which wrecked the Maitland also took numerous other ships on May 6, 1898. Of the 36 passengers aboard the Maitland, 24 lost their lives. Many of the survivors were commended for their heroism. Wreckage of the Maitland can still be seen today, with parts of the boiler and a section of the iron hull strewn across the rock flats of the point. The bay was previously known as Boat Harbour, then renamed Maitland Bay after the disaster in 1898.

Bouddi Lookout
Bouddi Lookout, Bouddi National Park, is a great first look at the Bouddi Coast as you come out of the bush on Bouddi Spur. There are views of the Pacific Ocean crashing into the heath covered headlands in front of the lookout. Not as grand a view as other lookouts in the area, but worth a pause on your way to the Bouddi Coast Track.

The Dingeldei Memorial Shelter
The Dingeldei Memorial Shelter was built in 1962, thanks to volunteers. A.W. (Bill) Dingeldei was a trustee of the park who did considerable work on it himself. Today the Dingeldei picnic area is a quiet, leafy spot, perched on the hill behind Mount Bouddi. The picnic area contains a picnic table, toilets, BBQ and rubbish facilities. It also has a new car park with ample spaces.
