Track Notes Turn by turn instructions & maps

Turn map	Directions & comments
	Start (from Ronny Creek Registration Booth sign post) by heading south-west. There is the Ronny Creek Registration Booth sign, sign at the start.
	Then almost immediately (at the 4-way intersection, with & Overland Track) continue straight, to follow the Overland Track. After another 30m you will find the Overland Track sign (on the left).
	The starting point of an alternate access track. The alternate access track to Waldheim Cabins on Connells Ave To start this optional access route turn right here. Details below. After another 700m, (at the 3-way intersection) turn left, to stay on the Overland Track. Then almost immediately, cross the wooden bridge, over the Ronny Creek. Then almost immediately head down the steps.
	Crater Lake Then (at the 3-way intersection) turn right, following the 'Crater Lake' sign , to stay on the Overland Track. Then head up the steps. Then up steps again after another 600m. After another 600m, head up the steps.
	Overland Track Then almost immediately (at the 3-way intersection) continue straight, following the 'Overland Track' sign , to stay on the Overland Track. Then head up the steps. After another 450m, pass Crater Falls waterfall, a waterfall (10m on your right). After another 10m, pass a seat (on your right). After another 450m you will find the Crater Lake Hut, a boathouse (on your right).
	After another 450m, (at the 4-way intersection) bear right, to stay on the Overland Track. Then almost immediately pass a lookout (15m on the left). After another 300m, there is a fixed cable to assist on this steep section of the Overland Track. After another 20m, pass a seat (10m on the left).
	After another 100m, (at the 3-way intersection) continue straight, to stay on the Overland Track.
	After another 200m, (at the 3-way intersection) continue straight, to stay on the Overland Track. After another 15m, pass Marions Lookout a summit, a summit (15m on the left). Then almost immediately you will find the Marion's Lookout (30m on the left).
	Then (at the 3-way intersection) turn sharp right, to stay on the Overland Track. After another 900m, cross the unpaved bridge, over the Plateau Creek.
	After another 650m, (at the 3-way intersection) bear left, to stay on the Overland Track. After another 350m, pass Kitchen Hut (5m on your right). After another 40m, pass Kitchen Hut Toilet (30m on your right).
	Then almost immediately (at the 3-way intersection) continue straight, to stay on the Overland Track.
	The starting point of an optional sidetrip. An optional side trip to climb the famous Cradle Mountain. Very steep and slippery so not recommended in wet or icy conditions. There is some rock scrambling near the summit that requires extra care. Requires between 2-3 hours to enjoy this side trip. To start this optional side trip bear left here. When you have finished this side trip, head back to the main route and turn around to continue. Details below. After another 100m, (at the 3-way intersection, with Overland Track & Cradle Mountain Face Track) bear left, to follow the Cradle Mountain Face Track.
	After another 30m, (at the 3-way intersection) continue straight, to stay on the Cradle Mountain Face Track. After another 650m pass a lookout.
	After another 500m, (at the 3-way intersection) continue straight, to stay on the Cradle Mountain Face Track.
	After another 600m, (at the 4-way intersection, with Cradle Mountain Face Track & Lake Rodway Track) turn right, to follow the Lake Rodway Track. After another 15m, pass Rangers Hut (60m on the left). After another 2.5km, pass a toilet (40m on the left). After another 30m you will find the Rodway Helipad, (5m on your right). After another 30m you will find the Scott-Kilvert Hut Campsite (10m on your right).
	After another 20m you come to the end at Scott-Kilvert Memorial Hut. You will also find a toiletand a helipad here.

The alternate access track to Waldheim Cabins on Connells Ave

	To start this access route turn right (from Ronny Creek (waterway)) by heading north-west.
	After another 300m, (at the 3-way intersection) continue straight.
	After another 150m, (at the 3-way intersection) turn right.
	After another 60m, (at the 3-way intersection) take the right fork.
	After another 70m, (at the 3-way intersection) bear right. Then almost immediately you will find the Waldheim Cabins accommodation (20m on the left). After another 30m, pass a toilet (30m on the left).
	Then almost immediately this access route ends at Weindorfer's Chalet. You will also find a toiletand a parking area here. Then almost immediately, pass a parking area (70m ahead).

An optional side trip to climb the famous Cradle Mountain. Very steep and slippery so not recommended in wet or icy conditions. There is some rock scrambling near the summit that requires extra care. Requires between 2-3 hours to enjoy this side trip.

	After another 30m, (at the 3-way intersection, with & Cradle Mount Summit Track) bear right, to follow the Cradle Mount Summit Track.
	After another 1km, (at the 3-way intersection) turn right, to stay on the Cradle Mount Summit Track. After another 50m you will find the Cradle Mountain lookout (10m on your right).
	Then almost immediately this sidetrip ends at Cradle Mountain. There is a lookout here.
