	The starting point of an optional sidetrip. Side trip to Govetts Leap Lookout which offers wonderful views over the Grose Valley and the spectacular Bridal Falls. The word \'leap\' is an old Scottish word meaning waterfall. The lookout is easily accessed from the carpark. To start this optional side trip continue straight here. On returning from this side trip turn right when you get back to this intersection. Details below. From the Fairfax Heritage Track turn left, to head along Fairfax Heritage Track. Find the toilet at the start. , male. Find the toilet at the start. , female. Find the water tap at the start. After another 15 m pass the shelter (on your left). After another 25 m pass the car park (15 m on your left). After another 25 m find the "Trip Hazard" (on your left). Trip Hazard A 5 to 10cm step between carpark and track. Access is between bollards that are 110cm apart. Then pass the picnic table (about 10 m ahead). Then head through the bollard.
	After another 210 m (from the Fairfax Heritage Track) veer right.
	After another 3 m continue straight. Then head down the 3 stone steps After another 20 m come to "George Phillips Lookout". George Phillips Lookout George Phillips Lookout, Blue Mountains National Park, provides stunning views east into the Grose Valley. The lookout offers views to Pulpit Rock, the horseshoe-shaped gorge and over the deep, green gorges of the Grose Valley to Mount Banks. The lookout is fenced and has a wheelchair accessible ramp. There are a series of picnic tables including a stone shelter just behind the lookout. About 10 m past the end is a shelter. About 15 m past the end is a picnic table.
	Turn around here and retrace the main route for 305 m to get back to the start.

	After another 9 m continue straight. After another 20 m pass the water tap (on your right). Then pass the sign (15 m on your left). Then find the "Govetts Leap Lookout" (15 m on your right). Govetts Leap Lookout Govetts Leap Lookout is named after the first European man to have enjoyed this view, William Govett, as an assistant surveyor in June 1831. Govetts Leap Lookout offers wonderful views over the Grose Valley and the spectacular Bridal Falls. The word `leap` is an old Scottish word meaning waterfall. The lookout is easily accessed from the car park, there are also toilets and picnic shelters nearby.
	From the Loop Track turn left.
	Continue another 15 m to find Govetts Leap Lookout at the end. Turn around and retrace your steps back the 75 m to the main route.
