Skink Trail

Starting from the Gate 1 car park on Scott Creek Road, Heathfield, this walk takes you on a circuit around Mark Oliphant Conservation Park via the Skink Trail. This short and easy loop winds through native vegetation along well-maintained trails within Mark Oliphant Conservation Park, offering walkers a taste of what to expect throughout most of this park, passing majestic stringybark gums and vibrant understorey plants along the way. This loop consists of narrow, gently undulating walking trails and fire tracks, with uneven natural surfaces and compacted natural surfaces, suitable for most fitness levels. Let us begin by acknowledging the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we travel today, and pay our respects to their Elders past and present.

Getting started
From the gravel car park off Scott Creek Road, head towards the green "Mark Oliphant Conservation Park" sign and pass through the gap next to the stone structure. Keep left and pass by the said sign (to your left) as you head along the path to continue along the Skink Trail (clockwise).....

	After another 360 m (at the intersection of Skink Trail & Loftia Track) turn right, to head along Skink Trail (a walking track).
	After another 335 m (at the intersection of Southern Brown Bandicoot Trail & Skink Trail) veer right, to head along Southern Brown Bandicoot Trail.
	After another 180 m (at the intersection of Loftia Track & Southern Brown Bandicoot Trail) turn left, to head along Loftia Track (a vehicle track).
	After another 110 m continue straight.
	After another 60 m continue straight. After another 30 m continue straight.
	After another 245 m come to the end.
